First ISKO All India Karate Championship a Big Success in Pune
The Ichiban Shito-Ryu Karate-Do Organization India organized the prestigious Padma Shri Murlikant Petkar All India Karate Championship on January 25-26, 2025 at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi, Pune. The event attracted 975 athletes from seven states and ten districts across India, showcasing remarkable talent and sportsmanship.
Event Inauguration and Key Dignitaries
The championship was officially inaugurated by Rahul Kalate, with the presence of several esteemed dignitaries, including:
- Sarpanch of Hinjewadi, Sagar Bhau Sakhare
- Ashok Damaryawar, Secretary of Sports and Youth Services, Maharashtra Olympic Association
- Namdev Shirgaonkar, Suhas Patil, Hanshi Rajnish Chaudhary, Salauddin Ansari, and Shihan Sandeep Gade, among others.
Event Officiation and Prize Distribution
Hanshi Paramjit Singh, a WKF A-Grade referee, and other key officials like Prasanna Kulkarni, Swami Sir, and Shihan Ravindra Suryavanshi officiated the event.
